Verdantix 2020 OPEX Innovation Award Winner!
Independent research firm Verdantix announced the seven winners of the International Operational Excellence Innovation Awards at the Verdantix Summit in London where over 220 HSE & OPEX leaders and technology executives convened for two days of expert panels, focus groups and best practice workshops. The prestigious international awards recognize organizations which have implemented innovative technologies which enhance Operational Excellence strategies.
We are happy to announce that Senseye and Alcoa won the Heavy Industries category award out of the 14 finalists!
The winners were selected by a panel of independent judges, including the global manager drilling performance and maintenance optimization at Cameron, a Schlumberger Company and the head of business transformation at Veolia.
Senseye's and Alcoa's partnership began at the Alcoa aluminum plant based in Iceland. Senseye and Alcoa won the Heavy Industries category for combining AI and Machine Learning to predict asset failures. By deploying technology from Senseye, Alcoa executed a global corporate initiative to move from planned to predictive maintenance. The use of this software provided a unified intelligent asset view, improved operating efficiencies, reduced maintenance costs, and allowed Alcoa to achieve ROI within 3 months.
“With a plethora of outstanding nominations this year, the seven winners have proven their superior focus on operational excellence technology and innovation. By sharing their successful project plans and achievements, the award winners will help other organizations enhance their own operational excellence performance and reduce workplace injuries,” commented David Metcalfe, Verdantix CEO.
Alcoa Corporation is a global leader in bauxite, alumina, and aluminum products, built on a foundation of strong values and operational excellence dating back more than 130 years to the world-changing discovery that made aluminum an affordable and vital part of modern life.
Senseye, the leading industrial software company headquartered in the UK, with regional offices around the world, has supported Fortune 500 global organizations, since 2014, in enabling predictive maintenance at scale.
